CANDIDATES ARE

  • Have undergone a mastectomy, breast reconstruction, or breast augmentation surgery and want to restore the natural appearance of their areolas.

  • Have uneven or faded areola pigmentation due to aging, scarring, or other factors.

  • Wish to enhance or correct the size, shape, or color of their areolas for a more balanced appearance.

  • Have scars around the breast area they want to blend with surrounding skin.

  • Are transitioning and want to create or enhance the appearance of areolas as part of gender-affirming care.

  • Are in good overall health and do not have active skin conditions or infections in the treatment area.

AFTERCARE

  • Keep the Area Clean: Gently cleanse the treated area with mild, fragrance-free soap and lukewarm water after 24 hours. Pat dry with a clean, soft towel—avoid rubbing the area.

  • Apply Healing Ointment: Use the provided healing ointment as instructed to keep the area moisturized and protected. Apply a thin layer, avoiding overuse, which can delay healing.

  • Avoid Touching or Scratching: Do not touch, scratch, or pick at the treated area, even if it feels itchy. This can disrupt healing and affect pigment retention.

  • Protect the Area: Avoid tight clothing or bras that may irritate the area. Opt for loose, breathable fabrics. Avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF 50 once the area has healed.

  • No Water Submersion: Refrain from swimming, soaking in bathtubs, or using hot tubs for at least 7–10 days.

  • Avoid Sweating: Avoid intense physical activity and heavy sweating for the first week to prevent irritation.

  • Skip Harsh Products: Do not use exfoliants, retinoids, or strong chemicals near the treated area during the healing process.

  • Healing Timeline: Expect minor scabbing or flaking, which is normal as the skin heals. The final color may appear lighter initially but will develop fully over several weeks.

  • Monitor for Signs of Infection: If you notice redness, swelling, severe pain, or discharge, contact your technician or a healthcare provider immediately.

  • Follow-Up Appointment: Attend your scheduled touch-up session (if needed) to perfect and finalize the results.
